My Story
It all began for me as an eight year old little girl, who loved to sing, perform and play the piano in my school assembly. My very musical parents set me on my own musical journey with weekly piano lessons and studying for the traditional grades.

At the age of eleven, I was bought a very treasured flute for my Christmas present, and after private lessons, I soon joined the Leicestershire Schools Orchestra, playing in the 1st flute section.

In addition to my piano, I began to develop further my keyboard skills in 1998, rekindled my love for singing, and bought my fabulous Yamaha Tyros 4 Digital Workstation keyboard in 2011. I am also the very proud owner of a Yamaha Clavinova 705 digital piano.
Using my knowledge and skills as a musician and keyboard player enables me create my own complex backing tracks to record my vocals to, and in addition, I now make videos which I also skillfully set to my own recorded music.
I am also the founder and administrator of an internet forum called 'Yamaha Keyboard Forum' which I developed in 2014. This gives other like minded musicians a place to share their music and receive help and advice from a range of top professional musicians.
Since selling our own Bistro business in August 2011, as an experienced musician I now regularly perform at a wide variety of venues. I entertain at functions such as garden parties, corporate functions, wedding, anniversary & birthday celebrations and travel throughout Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Derbyshire.
My Inspiration
Both my dear late parents were musical, and consequently were very supportive of their 5 children as we all set about our own individual musical journeys, which included a wide variety of instruments.
My father (George) was a trombonist in the Royal Navy and later became a regular performer, entertainer & MC of his own
Dance Band, even performing in front of the Queen! My mother (Cynthia) sang and played the piano for her local church.
As I began to find my feet as a performer, my father had an abundance of invaluable advice, and a never ending supply of sheet music to wade through allowing me to indulge further in my passion.
Sadly my mother passed away in December 1998 and my father in July 2013, but not without them both leaving a wonderful
legacy of treasured memories and music xx

Kit carrier (its heavy!), soundman, path finder & bouncer (only joking!). He is always full of support and encouragement, and listens to endless hours of me practicing and working on my song recordings.
​
In 2016 he also helped me design and create my own personal music studio at home which is now fully equipped and operational.
